Epic Quest!!!!!

Many years ago, the great enemies of the Middle Kingdom, the Xiongnu, began a war that lasted for many years. The Xiongnu were originally a nomadic people; barbarians that made their way through the world by pillaging and plundering. However, united under their King, the Powerful Warrior Rugida, the Xiongnu became a ruthless force to be reckoned with and began bloodthirsty campaign of assault in many States of the Middle Kingdom. Epic battles broke out all over the land and life became difficult. Harsh conditions and the threat of barbarian raids left many people fearing for their lives. It was not until after the great victory in the Battle of Bai Deng that peace returned. The Ten Great Masters and their apprentices defeated King Rugida and his army of the Xiongnu barbarians and drove them out of the 12 States. They retreated far to the north, shamed and beaten, awaiting the day that they could claim vengence.

An Age of Peace had descended upon the land and it lasted for many years, but now the 12 States of the Middle Kingdom are at odds with each other, each vying for power. In the midst of this struggle King Rugida and the Xiongnu have sensed an opportunity to exact their revenge. In order to better understand the struggle and plan their attacks, the Xiongnu have sent their Four Great Spies into the 12 States. They have set up a network of espionage within the merchant communities all over the Middle Kingdom and they must be stopped at all costs!

The Four Great Spies are traveling throughout the World of Kung Fu to contact members of their spy network. Disguised as common merchants, they have planted themselves in towns and the surrounding countryside to gather information. The only way to distinguish them is that each one of the Great Spies sell the traitorous symbol of the Xiongnu, the Iron Yaopai. They carve secret messages in to these medallions of jade and iron to send back to King Rugida and give him information vital to his evil ambitions. This is a call for all great heroes in the World of Kung Fu to thwart their plans! If you can intercept their Iron Yaopai, they will not reach King Rugida! The hope of peace and happiness in the World of Kung Fu now lies with you!

In order to stop the threat of another invasion from the Xiongnu, we need to stop the activity of the Four Great Spies!!

I． The Four Great Spies will pretend to be common merchants throughout the land as they try to gather information for King Rugida.

II． You need to find their shops and intercept their “Iron Yaopai” to disrupt their mission. You must stop these messages from reaching the Xiongnu!

III． The Four Great Spies will pretend to be small shop keepers. They may even sell useful items. But beware their treachery! If they have an Iron Yaopai, it is your duty to seize it! Our king’s own spies have learned that the Four Great Spies don’t know who their contacts are, so they “sell” their Yaopai in the open, thinking that only their secret contacts will know their intent.

IV． The Four Great Spies will not be at any fixed location, they can be anywhere in the lands of the World of Kung Fu! You must find them!

V． Once a spy is found, they will leave because their daily message has been picked up. Each Spy will have only 1 Iron Yaopai each day. GMs will make an announcement when each Great Spy is found every day.

VI． The Moral Dilemma: Do you come to the aid of the States of the Middle Kingdom or do you betray your country and help the Xiongnu? Players can decide to take the Iron Yaopai to the King’s Emmisary, Princess Changping, in the town of Tauyuan near the Great Masters, or they can give the Yaopai to the Xiongnu Messenger Apsical who is often found near or in the Xitang Rainforest. Daily rewards will be given to the players who recover the Iron Yaopai, but their decision sets the tone for what follows…

VII． At the close of the event, people who have obtained Wooden Yaopai tokens can trade them to a Game Master (GM) and get their just reward.

VIII． The “Spies in our Midst” Event will have several rounds. The first round will last for 15 days. On the last day of each round, GMs will announce on the FORUM when and how to get your reward.

IX． Wooden Yaopai tokens are tradeable items! They are not bound. Expect to see a bidding war in the pawnshop…

1. 6 Wooden Yaopai = Mustang King (Mount, lasts for 1 month)
2. 12 Wooden yaopai = Red Death's Head (lvl35 Divine Equipment) or Flower Pouch (lvl35 Divine Equipment) <Only 5 in each round>
3. 18 Wooden Yaopai = A level 55 orange color weapon (Divine Weapon) <Only 3 in each round>
4. 24 Wooden Yaopai = A permanent Dragon Tiger (Mount) <Only 2 in each round>
5. 36 Wooden Yaopai = Qi Shi suit. <Only 1 in each round>
